Peter Dixon in the High Sheriff of Somerset for 2026 – 2027. He made his Declaration of Office on March 22nd 2026 at the Legal Service for those connected with the Administration of Justice in Somerset, held at Wells Cathedral.
Today, the work of the High Sheriff is to engage with the many different organisations who contribute to the wellbeing of the residents of Somerset.
The High Sheriff plays a leading role in the fund raising for the Charitable Trust. Funds are raised to promote a safer Somerset.
